Position Details:

Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision of the Director, this position performs interlibrary loan, circulation, reserves, and reference duties. Some reserves processing, interlibrary loan, and other duties are accomplished during scheduled circulation time, so percentages of time do not completely reflect the time devoted to tasks. May be responsible to select, train and lead student employees. May be responsible for operating the library during evening and/or weekend hours.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Interlibrary Resource Sharing Assistance: 45%
  • Reference and Circulation: 40%
  • Reserves: 10%
  • Other: 5%

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience in the functional operations of a library or archives. Equivalent education or experience will substitute.

Additional Requirements:
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment background check as a condition of employment.
  • Position may require working evening and/or weekends.
  • Overtime may be required to meet deadlines during peak workload situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a higher education library.
  • Experience with automated serials software, integrated library systems.

Monthly Salary: Range 35, $1,445 to $1,910.50, Step A-M (pro-rated at .50 FTE) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
