Position Title: Account Manager
Location: Remote (US) – Must be physically located within close proximity to a major airport, with a preference being in the Eastern United States. .

Position Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for managing all commercial activities for assigned direct and distribution accounts across Genesis Alkali’s range of industrial products. The position will be the primary point of contact for customers – driving business results in concert with the commercial strategy through effective management of relationships, negotiations, and fulfillment monitoring. A large proportion of customers are long-term continuing customers and the focus is on deepening relationships, understanding markets and strategic price and contract management.

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

• Developing and executing account plans and strategy; including, relationship management, developing understanding of customers’ business and markets, contract negotiations, forecasting, supply reliability, timely payments
• Independently planning and executing strategic negotiations in a changing market environment and varying competitive dynamics
• Resolving customer issues by acting as primary interface between the customer and internal resources (logistics, customer service, technical and finance)
• Providing market intelligence to the business (industry trends, competitive behavior, new applications)
• Other duties as assigned

Skill, Capability, and Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• 5+ years experience in a customer-facing Sales role in the chemical or industrial chemicals preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), comfortable interacting with senior management personnel at customers
• Travel as needed to achieve account objectives (< 50%)

Final determination on pay grade will be made by HR and company leadership consistent with the skills matrix and considering the candidates education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership, and influence.
