Position Overview:

Accounts Receivable (AR) is responsible for daily operations related to invoicing and collections activities. This includes ensuring the continuous delivery of all functional business processes within service levels. AR is responsible to ensure all contracts are accurately invoiced in a timely manner as well as to monitor outstanding receivable balances in partnership with Account Management and escalate payment issues when needed. In addition, AR is responsible for providing ad hoc analysis of customer accounts when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts for applicable rate and payment terms
  • Perform new contract setups in the invoicing software application (NetSuite)
  • Accurately issue customer invoices in accordance with contract
  • Partner with Account Management to determine revenue accruals
  • Assist in collecting outstanding balances, when necessary
  • Provide routine reporting of invoice activity and AR balances
  • Perform routine contract audits to ensure revenue compliance
  • Partner with IT resources for ongoing invoice automation development and implementation
  • Partner with contracts compliance team to ensure all contractual provisions are accurately followed
  • Assist the cash applications team where necessary
  • Ensure contracts database (e.g. Cobblestone) accurately reflects key contract terms related to invoicing (rates, payment terms, cost neutrality, etc.)
  • Engage with other team members and departments as needed to support the business.
  • Guide/assist with the creation, maintenance, validation and communication/use of Knowledge Management materials (training documents, SOPs, checklists, job aids, etc.).
  • Assist in special assignments and projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivables, preferably in a contract-based environment
  • Proficient with a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft suites
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ability to analyze using Pivot Tables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to review and interpret contracts
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with detailed level invoicing in ERP systems and customer relations
  • High degree of attention to detail, follow through and professionalism.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all matters concerning the company, employees and its customers.
  • Works well in a team environment and can work with individuals from all business areas.
  • Demonstrates high sense of urgency and personal initiative related to customer service and problem resolution.
  • Utilizes excellent time management, decision-making and organizational skills.
