Do you have organizational skills? If so, our Administrative Specialist III may be the perfect role for you! We are looking for an Administrative Specialist III to join our team in the Division of Administration and Financial Management within the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides professional support to the division director/assistant director of Administration and Financial Management, and division staff in developing, implementing and maintaining various complex programs, projects, or activities.
- Interprets and applies Cabinet/Department policy and regulations; reviews policies and develops procedural alternatives for evaluation and improvement of administrative programs.
- Provides support and coordinates the performance evaluation process for management.
- Drafts correspondence, collects, analyzes and compiles data and generates statistical reports that relate to division programs and/or projects.
- Develops and maintains complex databases to track and monitor specific project data.
- Manages the division equipment service agreement(s) and serves as contact for vendors for work orders.
- Manages pool vehicles for the department.
- Processes badge requests for the department.
- Coordinates reviews and completes division procard purchases, identify the appropriate funding source adhere to purchasing, budget and planning policies and regulation, analyzes receipts to reconcile purchases.
- Coordinates personnel functions for the division to include: support of division management in coordinating the hiring process, scheduling interviews and submission of paperwork.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
