As an API Software Development Engineer - II, you’ll be a part of an amazing team working on our microservice API’s throughout the entire development process. You’ll participate in hack-a-thons, partner with universities on innovation events, and work with our famed Stamford Innovation Station

We’ll depend on you to:

  • Participate in a cross-shore development team

  • Influence and collaborate to create amazing API’s

  • Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams

  • Participate in Agile sprints including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions and reviews

  • Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes

  • Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into our products

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree with minimum 2 years of modern application development experience OR, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED 4 years of experience with application development using Java.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiarity building and consuming web services via SOAP and REST

  • Java development experience

  • Familiarity with common Java frameworks like Spring and Spring boot

  • Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket

  • Familiarity with continuous integration environments

  • Familiarity writing unit and integration tests

  • Familiarity with JSON, REST and XML based web services

  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers

  • Strong cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization

  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups

  • Strong attention to detail in a team environment

  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to analyze, use structured problem-solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options

Grade/Level: 09

The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
