As a Buyer/Planner, you’ll be responsible for the purchasing, planning, and managing of material inventory for all purchased & manufactured parts in a timely and efficient manner.

J&E Companies leverages a diverse range of personal and professional backgrounds to foster creativity and unique problem-solving skills, process improvements, and accelerating tools to drive us forward. For success in this role, we are looking for a few essential experiences and abilities:

· Collaborates with Sales, Engineering, and Shipping/Receiving to ensure timely and effective delivery of goods and services

· Assist in reconciling variances between purchase orders, invoices, materials releases, shipments, and packaging slips

· Reviews MRP reports daily and orders materials and necessary manufacturing items to fulfill customer orders

· Maintain appropriate supply chain related records, including vendor information, receiving documentation, and other pertinent information as assigned

· Create purchase requisitions for locally sourced materials and place orders with appropriate lead times

· Ensure that all necessary documentation accompanies each order and shipment and remediates issues when applicable

· Monitor delivery performance, days on hand and related quality issues

· Participates in cost saving efforts and initiatives

· Manage vendors and supply sources, making proactive recommendations when necessary

· Maintain P.O.’s and ensure on time deliveries

Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field, or the equivalent amount of training and hands-on experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.

· 3+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, materials management, or other related role in a manufacturing environment

· Proven track record of implementing and executing continuous improvement projects and leading organizational transformation.

· Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically to contribute toward organizational planning.

· Demonstrated analytical and root cause problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders

· Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence.

· Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results.

· Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout the Twin Cities and Racine Wi. as necessary

· Have a good understanding of ERP systems, Manufacturing and Supply Chain management.

Systems and Technology:

· Knowledge of Infor Visual ERP system preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
