Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. If hired into the CN-C position prior to December 31, 2022, an Associate Degree or Diploma Degree in Nursing is required. Minimum two years’ of clinical nursing experience in dialysis required. Minimum two years’ experience in pediatrics and/or pediatric dialysis preferred. Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Other as outlined in the department Plan for Providing Care. Must meet standards outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program handbook. New hires are granted one year to meet CN C standards outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program handbook.

In-depth knowledge of end-stage renal disease treatment modalities. Demonstrates advanced competencies in dialysis clinical nursing. Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in dialysis. Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation required. Exhibit professional behavior at all times.
