Description
The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
The Cook I position is responsible for ensuring nutritious meals are prepared for our residents.

The Cook I position is responsible for ensuring nutritious meals are prepared for our residents.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares meals for residents and staff and ensures equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Mixes and cooks specialty foods for therapeutic diets for residents.
- Assists with maintaining records for dietary department.
- Ensures proper storage of food.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: NONE
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food service will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
