Starting salary: $59,472
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The starting salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary
Evaluate prior educational experience of students; analyze student academic records to determine eligibility for graduation; develop and maintain the computerized degree audit system and the transfer articulation system; and advise students, faculty and staff about policies and procedures relating to graduation and transfer of courses to DMACC.

Essential Functions
Evaluate transfer credit for incoming students; maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the academic functioning of the college; evaluate DMACC courses as well as transfer credit to determine if specific program entry requirements have been met; award credit as appropriate for courses taken under local and statewide agreements and college policy.

Determine the eligibility of students for graduation; inform students who are not eligible of remaining degree requirements; determine program honors; maintain graduation records; inform prospective students and others regarding transfer credit and academic progress toward a degree; coordinate the processing of transfer credit evaluations, graduating student data and approved substitution forms to insure the accuracy of academic records.

Coordinate preparation of the official list of degree candidates, the diploma order and the cap and gown order; coordinate the mailing of degrees, diplomas and certificates; assist in the coordination of the commencement ceremony; provide work direction and assist in the selection of work-study students and casual part-time employees; compile data and submit reports to the registrar regarding graduation and transfer credit evaluation.

Design and maintain the architecture of the computerized degree audit system; develop reference materials for and provide training on the computerized graduation audit system; develop and maintain the transfer articulation system.

Verify the accreditation status of institutions; obtain recommendations regarding transferability of coursework; maintain resource materials for transfer evaluation and articulation.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Two years of related experience.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications
Experience in a college student services or academic area.
Experience or formal course work in programming logic.
Experience with transcript and academic record evaluations.
