Families First has an opening on our Crisis Team on Saturdays and Sundays. As a crisis team member, you will provide direct care and support in our 24-hour crisis bed and in the community to adults living with developmental disabilities. Support may include crisis intervention, behavioral management, safety, personal care, nutrition, housekeeping, health care, and other daily activities within the Crisis Bed and the community. You will also maintain the Crisis Bed in a safe and sanitary manner.

You will follow medical and safety protocols and know each person's Individual Support Agreement (ISA). Duties may include administering medication and demonstrating problem-solving skills and anger management skills.

Crisis Team Requirement:

- Staff needs to have reliable transportation and be willing to drive in and outside Windham county.

- Staff need to be available for the whole 24 hour period they are scheduled (9 am-9 am).

- Staff must be flexible to work with multiple individuals during the scheduled 24-hour period.

- Must be able to stay calm and collected in challenging situations.

- Staff must be able to be reached by phone and remain local within reason during their 24-hour shift.

- Must be able to access email.

- Have the ability to access the internet, complete necessary paperwork, and have the flexibility to work with multiple supervisors.

- Have good communication skills and practices.

- Must have proficiency in working with teams and providing respectful support to vulnerable individuals.

- Staff must be willing to take and complete all training to satisfy state-mandated competencies including, but not limited to: medication administration, First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention, and special care procedures related to individuals supported.

We are a Specialized Service Agency that provides Case Management, Personal Care, Shared Living, Respite, Employment Support, and many community activities. We based the services on each individual's needs and built on identified goals created by each individuals' team. All services are funded through Medicaid.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
