POSITION SUMMARY:

Physically distribute cases of merchandise onto store pallets in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, achieving established productivity, safety, and quality standards. Transport store-ready pallets to staging areas or onto trailers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all Put-To-Store, Running, Shipping, functions in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.
• Assign and remove pallets in and out of split lines, using RF scanning devices.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, both walk-behind and rider jacks.
• Distinguish different kinds of merchandise - verify case-pack and description.
• Build shippable pallets and operate wrapping machines.
• Run pallets to shipping and put in proper shipping store lane or onto trailers
• Housekeeping - Maintain a neat, orderly and clean work area (clean as you go policy).
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Inspect and Sign-out equipment on a daily basis.
• Comply with all OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be able to complete position-specific Powered Industrial Equipment Training and pass licensing test.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use RF scanner.
• Ability to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds
• Able to operate walk-behind, rider jacks, sweepers or battery change equipment as required.
• Good math skills.
• Satisfactory completion of training program.
• Ability to pass Area Proficiency test is required.
• Operate wrapping machines safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and verify English descriptions and case-packs.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat and repetitive lifting for extended periods of time.
