Position: Dispatcher
Locatio n: Clackamas, Oregon
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 / Annual salary
Hours Per Week: 40+
Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and communicate with drivers for local temp-controlled trucks running primarily between our warehouse in Clackamas, Oregon as far south as Eugene, Oregon and north to Centralia, Washington, along Interstate 5 through People Net software
- Coordinate freight consolidation by division, working knowledge of the Portland, Oregon area and the area along Interstate 5 between Eugene, Oregon and Chehalis, Washington, general knowledge of the Northwest U.S.
- Utilize TruckMate and PC Miler systems to build and process delivery routes, note appointment time/date on delivery receipts, schedule and enter delivery appointment information for freight, research orders, process driver paperwork and new customer set up.
- Prepare rate sheets and rate quotes for proposals and negotiations
- Multi-task and perform in a high energy environment
- Manage up to twelve tractor/trailers
- Load management
- Evaluate, recommend, and execute placement of loads to carriers through purchase orders
- Maintain detailed files for documentation and load sheets through the TMW and PCM systems
- Receive calls from carriers and work with warehouse workers/dispatchers to schedule appointments and resolve problems
Experience, Abilities and Qualities Required:
- Reliable, committed with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong verbal, and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, with ability to work alone and in a team environment
- Able to provide positive and professional customer service, provide regular updates to other internal departments and customer
- Detail-oriented combined with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Windows based PC
- Ability to follow instructions, guidelines, and apply good judgment
- Intermediate to advanced math knowledge
- TruckMate experience a plus, but not necessary
