Jacksons Restaurant + Bar is searching for an Executive Chef to lead their culinary team! Jacksons is located adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg. We are an established restaurant offering new American cuisine for lunch and dinner in a chic and welcoming atmosphere. The Executive Chef is in charge of all culinary operations and some of their duties include:

• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
• Supervise/Lead the Culinary department
• Recruit/hire for the Culinary department
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
• Provide disciplinary action when necessary.
• Responsible for communicating to all departments about the restaurant.
• Responsible for assisting with the training of all team members to exceed in each of their positions
• Perform administrative duties
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Required Skills:

• Proven ability to train others and lead a team.
• Proficiency with computer systems, software, and programs.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to consistently organize workloads to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient skills in math and financial management including labor and food cost controls.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding people skills
• Trustworthy and results-driven
• Must be available nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Education and Experience:

• Five or more years of progressive experience in a senior culinary leadership role
• Associate’s Degree in culinary arts preferred or equivalent job-related experience.
