Position Summary

Position: Graduate Trainee – Reinsurance Broking

Location: New York City, New York

Education: Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic achievement

As part of a 2 year graduate program the successful candidate will be exposed to all areas of the business, working directly with senior members of the broking and actuarial teams on reinsurance programs and other opportunities placed out of our New York office.

The successful candidate will have an Honors degree with a high GPA, and the personality and skills required to be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment as part of a global business. They will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in insurance and be willing to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a strong client focus and delivering exceptional performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supporting Brokers and Account Managers with the management and maintenance of existing client relationships and development of new ones
• Assist with the production of high quality presentations, submissions and analysis
• Develop a detailed understanding of the client’s business, as part of developing tailor-made insurance and reinsurance solutions to assist the New York office
• Interpret analytical results, in order to evaluate and compare different (re)insurance prices and strategies
