• Hours: 40 hours
• Shift: Day Shift; Monday-Friday with rotating on-call for weeknights and weekends- approximately 7 on-call shifts per month
• Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital – Fall River, MA

We are searching for an Electrophysiology Lab Tech to perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned cardiology modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Obtain pertinent hemodynamic and angiographic information from patients and document all data within the EHR. Perform patient education related to the procedure. Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others. Provide functional or technical supervision of other assigned non-technical employees and other practitioners, as applicable. Provide supervision and instruction to assigned affiliating students. Assist with ongoing quality assurance activities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, and attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility preferred or graduation from an accredited program in Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2-3 years of related experience including a minimum of two years clinical cardiac and/or critical care experience is required.
• One year experience as a Scrub Assistant in a cardiac catheterization/EP lab/Structural Heart is required.
• Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID 19 and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
