Key Responsibilities:

• Interact and encourage children in activities during the day.
• Provide nurturing care while helping them develop independent skills.
• Help children learn appropriate social skills.
• Maintain good communication with parents.
• Plan activities and lessons for the children.
• Record-keeping as necessary for health, behavior, and development.
• Assist in the maintenance of the classroom as a clean, organized, and safe place for the children to spend time.
• Must comply with state regulations as well as with Program Policies of Countryside Daycare and Preschool
• Reports to the director in regard to all happenings within the classroom (curriculum, daily sheets etc.)

Teacher Requirements:

• Classroom experience in working with children required.
• Sensitivity to children's individual needs.
• Ability to use appropriate and positive discipline.
• Dependability and commitment.
• Flexibility
• Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

Must Provide the following documents prior to commencing employment:

• PA DHS Child Abuse Clearance (within the last four years)
• PA State Police Clearance (within the last four years)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (within the last four years)
• Proof of Education/ copy of diploma/copy of transcripts
• Two Reference Letters (indicating the number of hours working directly with children)
• Mandated Reporter Child Abuse Online Training (within the last four years)
• Mandated 10 Hours Health and Safety Training through Better Kid Care (to be completed in first year of employment)
• First Aid and Pediatric CPR training (within the last year)

Time Commitment:

8 hours per day (full-time)

Hourly Rate / Benefits:

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
