Deer Mountain Day Camp is seeking Lifeguards, WSIs, Competitive Swimmers, and anyone with a love of swimming to join our Aquatics Team! As a DMDC lifeguard, you’ll help manage and maintain safety at our five heated, age-specific pools. You’ll also have the opportunity to teach children to swim—one of the most important skills they’ll gain as a camper—through the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. We can help you obtain and maintain your Lifeguard and CPR certifications as well as your Water Safety Instructor Certification. Spend your summer helping our campers overcome their fear and grow as they learn to swim. This is a truly rewarding experience.
Summer Dates:
June 26th - August 18th, 2023 (8 weeks)
8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:
- Candidates should have a strong swimming background.
- Willing to become a certified lifeguard.
- Prior experience working in a camp setting a plus.
We offer daily round-trip transportation to staff coming from Bergen County, Westchester County, New York City (Manhattan & Brooklyn), Hoboken, Jersey City, and West New York.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $250.00 - $450.00 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
Ability to commute/relocate:
- New City, NY: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
