BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE

Responsible for planning and then scheduling all non-emergency repairs and preventative/predictive maintenance, while minimizing the impact on production. Evaluate the need for required parts and place orders/obligate stores parts as needed. Review manufacturers' service manuals, the Company s usage schedules and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance, including hours required for the work. Study production and operation schedules and confers with other staff and with maintenance supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will interfere least with the operations. Estimate cost of personnel, parts and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance. Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance. May develop and coordinate plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery or buildings. All the work must be completed in a safe and timely manner with the highest quality possible.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and material, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan.
• Provide the equipment-related expertise and technical guidance to establish and then improve Preventive/Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Prioritize, plan, schedule and follow-up on planned work.
• Prepare schedules for weekly and long term work (turnarounds).
• Oversee all equipment installation, modification and removal from the facilities.
• Evaluate the required repair work on equipment and create the maintenance schedule for when the work will be performed.
• Advise on the proper storage of equipment and supplies for easy and fast retrieval during emergency situations.
• Monitor inventory levels of critical parts/spares.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have experience in industrial maintenance, preferably petro-chemical.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have experience with CMMS systems
• Education past HS is preferred (AAS degree, journeyman card, etc.)
• Candidate may be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check based on job location/requirements.
