Description:

The MRO Coordinator is primarily responsible for data entry and management in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system in support of facilities maintenance management, as required. The MRO Coordinator may also be responsible for coordinating/scheduling contracted maintenance services with internal stakeholders and vendors. The MRO Coordinator will also perform general office duties such as answering phones, typing, filing, ordering maintenance parts and office supplies, and other related tasks for the department manager, supervisors, and support personnel. The duties and responsibilities of this role are carried out within a framework of established policies, procedures, and practices, and accountability to goals and decision-making relative to Facilities Management. Familiarity and experience with a CMMS/EAM are necessary for this position. The role requires an individual with strong maintenance database management skills, independent judgment skills, and interpersonal and customer service skills. The MRO Coordinator must possess the ability and understanding to effectively follow and provide direction, lead and work in a dynamic organizational environment and effectively communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms to non-technical individuals. d move about the office, mechanical, and laboratory spaces.

  • Operate personal computer and peripherals to perform data entry tasks, and compile data for weekly, monthly, and YTD reports; must manipulate data utilizing software programs, and update and distribute reports as required.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, typing, filing, ordering office supplies, and copying for the department managers, supervisors, and support personnel.
  • Process purchase requisitions for the maintenance team and assist in obtaining quotes from vendors, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Planning/Scheduling Supervisor. The MRO Coordinator reports directly to the Planning/Scheduling Supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in business/accounting or related discipline; or high school diploma/GED with 3-4 years working in an organization with similar office administration, dispatching functions, and record keeping. Related experience in biopharmaceutical/laboratory environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a CMMS, EAM, or other maintenance management system. Technical Knowledge, Work Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge and proficiency within a CMMS/EAM or other work management/ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word); must be able to compile and manipulate data utilizing software for periodical and ad-hoc reports and distribute, as required.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work normal business hours, and non-business hours (i.e. - weekends, holidays, overtime),
