NOCTI, a Michigan-based education non-profit is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated marketing specialist to join its team. This hybrid position will be focused on supporting marketing, outreach, customer support, and program initiatives. Individuals will use sales and marketing strategies to increase visibility and connectedness with the greater Career and Technical Education (CTE) community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The specialist will provide support for customer service including phones and support tickets, order entry, scoring, and related activities for the organization. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide customer service/technical assistance by answering questions, furnishing information, resolving issues, and providing follow-up to customers.
  • Monitor ticket system, respond to, and resolve tickets.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support, as appropriate.
  • Provide order entry support services (e.g., order entry backup, order checking, remote proctoring set up).
  • Receive, file, and track incoming purchase orders, match with customer orders or invoices, and provide customer follow-up.
  • Provide scoring support services (e.g., customer assistance related to scoring and reporting).
  • File, archive, and retrieve documents as needed.
  • Provide backup in shipping/distribution as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma and two years of related work experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience that ensures successful performance of the job duties. Associate degree preferred.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, email, database, collaboration, scanning, and accounting programs and be willing to learn other programs/software as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a broad understanding of work processes, operational flow of each division, and overall organizational procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate processes and procedures for quality and continuous improvement and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Exhibit effective organizational skills.
  • Ensure that all materials produced are error-free (e.g., grammar, spelling, formatting, punctuation).
  • Maintain an overall understanding of the organizations’ scope of work and the client base served.
  • Assure understanding of terminology related to the current credentialing marketplace.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

· While performing the duties of the job, the employee is normally required to sit, stand, and communicate verbally in an office setting.

· The physical location of the setting is an office at corporate headquarters in Big Rapids, Michigan.

· Frequent small group and telephone communication is required.

· Employee may be exposed to loud noise produced by office machines (e.g., printer, copier, scanner).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
