Northstar Healthcare Tupelo is looking for an energetic, positive individual to eval and treat our physical therapy patients! We are a patient-centric company that looks after the patient as well as our staff!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluates, plans, supervises, delegates, and administers physical therapy treatment plans to meet patient goals
• Modifies patient treatments to reflect changes in goals and objectives when needed
• Administers treatment programs to patients including, but not limited to, therapeutic exercises, isokinetic testing and training, gait training, therapeutic application of physical agents such as heat, cold, electricity, ultrasound, massage; manual therapeutic techniques, and functional training
• Performs appropriate, timely documentation of patient care in accordance with department policy and procedures including recording patient’s reactions and progress during treatment and writing discharge summary when treatment is terminated
• Communicates with physicians or other health personnel when indicated
• Instructs and provides technical direction to physical therapist assistants and technicians assisting in patient care activities
• Participates in clinical studies and guidance of physical therapy students
• Counsels with patients and/or family as needed
• Establishes home programs for patients and instructs patient and family in the performance of exercises as indicated
• Performs other related duties as requested by the Physical Therapy Director and Senior Physical Therapists

Requirements:

· Completion of Physical Therapy program from an accredited school

· Active Physical Therapy license for the state of Tennessee/Mississippi

· Active CPR Certification
