Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Belton, TX. As a PTA, your primary responsibility will be to work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and assist in implementing treatment plans for patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Your duties will include providing therapeutic exercises, massages, and modalities to enhance patient's range of motion, mobility, and strength. You will be responsible for communicating with patients and their families, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with treatment plans.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work under the direction and supervision of the licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans to meet patient's goals.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, massages, and modalities to improve patients' range of motion, mobility, and strength.
• Communicate with patients and their families, and educate them about the treatment process.
• Document patient's progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with treatment plans and state regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan patient care and coordinate treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Attend training sessions and professional development programs to stay informed about new techniques and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or related field required.
• Current certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform therapeutic exercises and massages.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and follow treatment plans accurately.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
