ID: 48617322 Shift: Days 8 hrs Monday - Friday ; alternating weekend on-call for urgent cases Description: Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is in need of a Medical Physicist to oversee Radiation Oncology Treatment plans for head, neck, and central nervous system patients on the following treatment devices: Gamma Knife, Linac, Cyberknife, and Brainlab Extrac.BID DUE DATE: May 10 @ 3pm EST!Details:ASAP coverage on an as-needed basis for 2 months.Hospital based outpatient clinicDuties: Oversee radiation oncology treatment plans for head, neck and central nervous system patients on the following treatment devices: Gamma Knife, Linac, Cyberknift and Brainlab ExtracRequired Procedures: SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy), CBK (Cyberknife), IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy), SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)EMR: CernerSupport Staff: RN, MAPatients per day:approximate 20-30in TrueBeam, 2-4 CyberKnifeMust be DABr and or PHd.1.Are there other physicists at the facility, or will this be a solo position?There are three more but we expect the locum to cover solofor a few days while we get training2.What type of machines are in the department, and what will this locum beresponsible for? What machine experience is required for this locum(Varian vs. Elekta Linacs? Cyberknife? Gammaknife? (If Gammaknife,do we need to get the locum on the radioactive materials license?), treatmentplanning system? Record and verify system?Wehave a need for a locum with experience in CyberKnife and TrueBeam only.RV is ARIA, TPS are Eclipse and Precision. GK experiencewouldbe a plus but not required.3.What hours will the locum be expected to keep? (M-F 8-5? 4 10 hourdays?) If you are unable to include something in the presentation, detail why and the plan to get it sent over. Account Managers and Account Coordinators will take this into account as they review the presentation, though they still reserve the right to redirect it back to the vendor if they deem it necessary.
