Job description

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working, compassionate individual who is a team player.

This position works closely with the surgeon and has a schedule that varies throughout the month.

The person for this position must have:

- an active nursing or physician assistant license and is in good standing with the appropriate medical board.

- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- prior experience working in an operating room

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery or plastic surgery.

The position requires:

-working as part of the surgical team one week a month; pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery

-verifying the surgeon has appropriately cleared patients for surgery

-ensuring patients receive and understand all post-surgical instructions

-post-procedure patient care from post-operative appointment through final suture removal

-providing wound care if necessary

-scheduling surgical patients' follow-up appointments

-answering phone calls and addressing patients' pre and post-surgical questions and concerns

-ensure complete and accurate surgical records and all patient visit records

-keeping the surgeon informed as to the status of all patients on an ongoing basis.

You must have the right to work in the United States of America.
