Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is the largest, private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, residential, employment and educational services in the Miami Valley.

This position will be at our Northcutt boy’s residential facility in Dayton, Ohio. We are looking for a Residential Care Coordinator. Our mission is to create new chances, new choices, and new hope for traumatized children and their families by breaking the vicious cycle of child abuse and addressing the self-destructive behaviors brought on by experiencing severe trauma in childhood.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Actively works with clients who have trauma-based behaviors and helping the work through those issues through different avenues and programs.
• Educates family members about mental illness and actively works with family members to resolve issues effecting families, and utilizes family members as a resource in achieving positive outcomes with the client.
• Develops Individual Recovery Plans which include assertive interventions that directly target the improvement of the client's activities of daily living and address the recovery support services involved in mental health.
• We promote a proactive and positive environment in which quality mental health services.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related Field

Knowledge and experience working with children ages 5-14 desired.

Prior experience as a case manager, community support specialist, or QMHS is relevant.

Knowledge and experience in Windows-based computer applications.

Ability to remain calm and level-headed in crisis situations, effectively set limits with oppositional individuals.

Ability to lift 50 pounds,

Must be at least 21 years old

Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Hours: Flexible schedule. Requires a Saturday rotation’s
