Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Sample Express Specialist to join our TEAM! As the Sample Express Specialist , we need someone who will own a variety of material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customers’ orders, and inventory checks. This position involves the daily use of forklift equipment.

Primary Objective

Maintains a sample inventory and ships samples to customers, maximizing sales representatives’ time with customers.

Primary Function and Scope

• Ships samples and or submittals same day, the next day, or using other shipping means.
• Tracks the inventory of samples and reorders samples when supplies are low.
• Sets up a sample work area, which includes building racking, shelves, and creating labels.
• Keeps the sample area clean and well organized.
• Obtains and ships new products quickly to deploy to Sales Reps.
• Builds and designs custom sample boards.
• Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules outlined in the Safety Program and reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
• Performs other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Forklift Operator.
• 1+ years of previous work experience in the ceramic tile field.

Competencies

Strong organizational skills. Basic math skills, customer service skills, detail-oriented, fluency in English, and safety conscious. Must be able to operate various tile saws.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be sometimes needed to sit, climb, or balance. The associate must lift and move up to 80 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
