Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Scheduler. This is a full-time position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8 am - 4 pm Monday-Friday. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Who We Are:

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and implement the monthly working schedules for direct care staff including nurses at the Marklund Hyde Center using scheduling software and/or system.

• Using the scheduling software and/or system, create master schedules for all direct care staff, including position numbers for the Marklund Hyde Center. Keep schedules and reports current at all times.

• Responsible for receiving and replacing call-offs from direct care staff.

• Responsible for filling staffing vacancies due to PTO, FMLA’s, worker’s comp restrictions/absences, open positions, etc., using the scheduling software and/or system.

• Prepare staffing requisition forms for open positions to submit to HR as they arise.

• Approve & process all requests for PTO use or non PTO use for all direct care staff at the Marklund Hyde Center.

• Monitor overtime and create reports for Administrators.

• Authorize overtime or agency use when necessary.

• Audit and approve staffing related expenses processing in a timely fashion.

• Track absences per the current attendance policy and send reports to supervisors to use to help control absences. Advise supervisors with reports on the need for developmental action.

• Complete approval of time cards for IHR staff in Paylocity by 9:30 a.m. on Payroll Monday

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma

• Previous scheduling experience preferred

• On-Shift proficiency desired

• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)

• Ability to accept phone calls after work hours Monday-Friday (company phone & on call bonus provided)
