Position Purpose:
The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in all HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, etc. The individual who fills this role will serve as a first point of contact for all employees regarding HR-related matters and will be critical to the day-to-day operations of Benchmark Education Company.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage employee onboarding including preparation for day one and conducting new hire orientation.
    • Oversee the benefit administration process including monthly enrollments, changes and invoicing.
    • Facilitate the performance management process including introductory and annual performance reviews.
    • Manage employee off-boarding including exit interviews and COBRA administration
    • Assist in the recruiting process including posting requisitions and managing the interview process.
    • Investigate employee relations matters as needed
    • Ensure compliance with various federal and state regulations
    • Assist with other projects as required

Job Requirements / Skills & Experiences

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
    • 5+ years in a prior human resources generalist position
    • Strong experience in all HR disciplines
    • Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work extra hours as needed
    • Experience in FMLA management, Time and Attendance, Performance management
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong project management skills / able to manage multiple tasks and projects
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • Immigration experience a plus
