OUR PRODUCT: lithium-ion batteries for material handling equipment, primarily forklifts

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Issue the correct authorized paperwork and packing list for all shipments
• Record and track until receipt or delivery all Shipments or Returns using the Shipping Register for all batteries, Eboxes, Service parts, demos, etc.
• Ensure Product is properly packed and wrapped to guard against shifting or damage during transit
• Process Bill of Ladings, Packing Slips, and invoices using QuickBooks, Excel or other software
• Schedule freight carriers in accurate and timely manner
• Communicate with vendors and freight carriers to obtain best Shipping Costs and Terms
• Place orders with Procurement Manager for shipping materials as needed
• Issue, Track, and Log Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs)
• During Preparation and Shipping of Product, verify all materials listed on Packing List are present before proceeding; verify counts and Serial Numbers
• Load and unload freight carriers as needed
• Participate and contribute to Continuous Improvement
• Ensure Product awaiting Shipment is properly stored and is easily located and identified
• Backup for Receiving Clerk
• Responsible for ensuring Shipping Area is kept clean and organized utilizing 5S standards
• File, process, and communicate insurance claims
• Some QC/QA functions as related to Shipping

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Sound decision making skills, creativity, independent judgment, discretion, and problem analysis
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Good customer service skills
• Hold or obtain forklift certification and Hazmat certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to lift 40 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
