Candle Studio Assistant

**Temporary position for April through July with potential for part/full-time work**
Ritual + Fancy is an eco friendly candle manufacturer based in Newberg (OR) supplying candles to retail stores nationwide.

Essential Job Duties:
Preparing work area for candlemaking according to standard specifications which will be provided.
Assemble, wick, label, top, and clean vessels for the candlemaking process.
Mixing wax and fragrance.
Pouring molten wax into prepared vessels with safety and accuracy.
Performing quality checks at every stage of candlemaking.
Troubleshooting errors using the heat gun and other tools as necessary.
Packaging and wrapping of candles for large-volume shipments.
Accurately monitor inventory of designated area.
Perform other essential duties, as assigned.
Knowledge and Job Requirements:
Training is provided.
High school diploma or GED.
Barista or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
Excited to be part of a small creative team. Works collaboratively with the entire production team to ensure the production schedule is completed every day with the highest level of quality.
Positive attitude, adaptable, excited to learn new skills, proactive in finding new solutions.
Excellent work ethic, diligent and quality minded with great attention to detail.
Proactive, willing to help others and work as a team.
Ability to self-motivate and stay on task.
Particular interest in crafting, design and/or light manufacturing is helpful.
Environmental Requirements:
Working in an environment with various fragrances and scents.
This position requires standing, squatting or kneeling down approximately 90% of the time.
Use of hand tools that could include: heat gun, wick cutters, pokers, hooks, pliers, scissors, safety knife and tape machine.
Ability to stand for long periods and to lift and move boxes up to forty-five pounds (over fifty pounds with assistance.)
Job Type: Temporary, Full-time, Part-time positions available
Pay: From $13.50 - $15.00
