Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to provide support to staff on all company supported applications.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist staff with problems/questions relating to computer equipment operating system software, application software, and hardware
  • Log and track calls using problem management database and maintain history records and related problems documentation
  • Monitor computer servers, network health, file backups, antivirus and malware servers
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems
  • Answer support requests and escalates to appropriate IT resources when necessary
  • Available during on call support, maintenance windows, testing, disaster recovery planning or unplanned outages as needed
  • Maintain email service including administration and provisioning of mailboxes, calendar and distribution lists
  • Perform hardware, software and phone installations and maintenance
  • Document system configurations and track changes
Other Job Functions:
  • Maintain confidentiality and security standards and policies for the organization
  • Serve as escalation point for desktop administrators
  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Travel to all facility locations as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to work off-hours and on call when required
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience or certifications, required
  • 1+ year experience of server and storage administration, required
  • Experience with system backup and recovery routines, required
  • Experience supporting Windows based users in a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment, required
  • Experience participating in system installation projects including design, build, testing and conversion, required
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switchers and firewalls, required
  • Experience with IP Telephony (Cisco UCM Preferred)
  • Experience with Enterprise Cisco networking equipment, preferred
  • Experience in basic Microsoft SQL Server administration, preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Exchange or Office 365, preferred
  • Experience in server virtualization (VMWare, HyperV or XenServer), preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
