Job description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for middle school math teacher position for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher would be responsible for all lessons aligned to the Archdiocesan curriculum. In addition to regular responsibilities, duties also include a middle school homeroom.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols. Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequently
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
- Integrate technology effectively into a 21st Century using Google, iPad and Smartboard tech among others.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education with a concentration in an appropriate content area.
- Current MSDE certification
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching on the middle school level
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
