IPEC currently has a First Shift opening for a Full-Time TIG Welder. This is a Monday-Friday position. (40-48 hours per week/paid overtime after 40 hours)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• TIG welding stainless steel 20GA to 7GA.
• Experience reading blueprints
• Working with structural material, sheet metal layouts and stainless steel
• Grinding/polishing
• Verifying quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them
• Document processes using forms
• Maintains a clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Follows all safety and shop rules and regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• 1-2 years experience with TIG welding stainless steel.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries is desired.
• All potential candidates need to pass a TIG Weld Test to be considered for position.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read and write simple instructions and short correspondence
• Ability to effectively report relevant data and job specific information as needed

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to perform intermediate mathematics

Computer Skills:

• Ability to navigate basic technology, phones, time clocks and other systems where applicable.

Work Environment: The Welder interacts with machinery within the facility which often involves heat, noise, debris, conveyance systems and other potentially dangerous equipment. There is also material transportation that takes place in the shop and this can cause high levels of vibration and airborne disturbances.
