Job Title: Barron Equipment Inc., Warehouse Manager

Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Purpose

Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Accurately ship orders in 1-2 days from time of receipt
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing annual inventory counts and weekly/monthly cycle counts

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position will supervise approximately 4-6 warehouse employees

Physical Demands

· Frequently lifts or moves objects/freight & equipment up to 50lbs and or moves objects that weight more than 100lbs

· Reaches overhead to store freight in high shelving areas

· Frequently bends, lifts, stoops to check in freight on a daily basis

· Frequently accesses freight for damages

· Boxes product for shipping

· Evaluates equipment needs through testing normal operation

· Climbs stairs to employee lounge and conference room

Cognitive Demands

· Applies good reasoning to determine equipment repair needs; contacts appropriate resource for resolution

· Ability to collect and analyze information

· Coordinate with other departments

Work Environment

· The warehouse can be humid and dry

· Noise level is high; assembling parts, operating machines

Work Schedule

· The hours for the position are Monday thru Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields or work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Able to operate fork truck, scissor lifts, and pull a trailer
  • 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work with all levels of company staff
  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
