Job Description
Danville School anticipates seeking a full-time teacher of Spanish and French for our grades 7-12 program. We currently offer introductory courses in the Middle School and options for in-depth study of both French and Spanish in our high school program.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and vision to both guide students toward both gaining proficiency in a non-English language, as well as increasing cultural competency through language study.
Our community (located just 50 miles from the Quebec border) places a strong value on being able to continue offering French to our students, while Spanish has gained in student interest and global necessity over the last few years. That said, we recognize teaching both languages is challenging within the confines of a single school day, and give significant value to the skills and expertise that candidates bring.

Danville School is a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade learning community of 380 students at the edge of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Surrounded by opportunities for outdoor recreation, we are within commuting distance of the slightly larger towns of Lyndonville, St. Johnsbury, Barre, Montpelier, and Littleton, NH.

Job Requirements
- Appropriate Vermont licensure. CCSU is willing to request a provisional license for candidates who are otherwise qualified and do not currently hold the required license but are willing to work toward licensure.
