Job description
Monitors the daily operational functions and staff in an assigned subsection/subunit of a department. Monitor operational workflows; identify issues while focusing on quality assurance, process improvement and departmental goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manages own assigned work queue(s).
Monitors daily operations of the team, assists in prioritizing daily work activities, resolving escalated issues, identify trends, address processing delays and areas for improvement
Makes recommendations and provides input related to hiring, terminations, performance evaluations
Informs staff of changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements.
Gathers department metrics and prepares reports for management review
Assist in leading, developing and mentoring of staff.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrated supervisory experience, Experience in insurance revenue cycle functions (i.e. insurance billing, charge entry, registration, payment posting, reconciliation, etc...) Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, Excellent written and verbal skills, Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC), Microsoft Office
Required Experience, Education, Certification(s), License(s):
High School Diploma or GED required, minimum three years of equivalent work experience.
Preferred Experience:
Associates and/or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
