Administrative Assistant – Corporate Law


Pay Rate:

$44,700 - $59,600

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Provides critical team-oriented secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
  • Directing and screening telephone calls
  • Drafting and editing letters, memos and other legal documents from handwritten drafts and e-mails
  • Arranging travel and preparing travel expense reports
  • Managing attorneys’ calendars
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Sorting, filing, and retrieving legal documents and files
  • Gathering information from internal clients
  • Running SAP reports
  • Processing invoices from external legal services providers
  • Assisting in preparation of budgets
  • File management
  • Archiving and document retention
  • Assistance with planning, logistics and hosting meetings of company Board of Directors
  • Assistance with planning Legal Department activities and events
  • Participation in Legal Department process improvement initiatives
  • Occasionally researching, preparing documents, and responding to legal matters under the direction of a supervising attorney

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working in a professional office environment, preferably in the legal field.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Must have very strong computer skills and be proficient using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong grammar skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to follow through to completion on projects and processes.
  • Must exhibit extremely high degree of professionalism, as position requires interaction with company senior executives, board members and important guests.
  • Discretion and the ability to keep confidences are essential to this position, as position requires work on and exposure to highly confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-energy office environment using multitasking skills. Working knowledge of general legal processes and terminology preferred.
  • Must be willing to learn new legal processes.
