Position Highlights
The Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department (AME) is seeking candidates for a temporary position to perform numerical simulations using the University of Arizona CFDWARP code of plasma-assisted combustion taking place in scramjet combustors. The numerical results will be compared to experimental results obtained at the University of Virginia. The comparison will be presented at the UCAH (University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics) fall conference. This position will be under the direct supervision of Dr. Bernard Parent.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup the University of Virginia scramjet combustor geometry and boundary conditions with CFDWARP.
- Perform numerical simulations with CFDWARP, analyze results and compare with experimental results.
- Prepare a poster and present it at the UCAG fall conference.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
- This position requires access to information regulated under the U.S. Export Control Regulations and therefore individuals must qualify as a U.S. Citizen under the U.S. Export Control Regulations.
