Job Description:
The Processor's primary function in the Chemical Room is to perform one or a combination of chemical operations utilizing various manual and automated equipment to prepare the parts and fixtures for manufacturing process. The Assembly/ Operator will have to use chemicals such as HF, HCL, Nitric Acid, Acetone, etc., on a daily basis to clean and process the parts. They will be involved in projects and working closely with the support functions – maintenance, facilities, and engineering.
- Run the horizontal furnaces and learn other supporting roles
- Perform some routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Take and interpret readings on various equipment assessing any variation to standard troubleshooting and taking action to redress and bring process back to standard
- Follow standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met
- Perform assigned duties and follows operating procedures in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment
- Train others on processes
- Weekend overtime as needed
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 0-3 years of prior relevant experience
- 1 year of chemical operations background/experience is strongly preferred
- 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting and/or chemical plant industry
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to perform the physical labor associated with the job, ability to lift -10-30lbs
- Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting
- The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates
- Ability to wear and work in full body PPE
- Ability Load and unload chemicals
