• Position: Assistant Project Manager
• Primary duties would be to assist Project Manager in performing the day to day functions of an intermodal rail yard facility.
• Existing operations with expansion potential.
• Position Location: Blacksburg, SC

• 2 Facilities in Western PA
• 2 Intermodal Terminals (Western PA; Northern SC)
• Expansion Plans include Eastern USA, primarily Northeast, MidAtlantic, and Southeast regions.
• Company Description:

A small business and leading regional provider of waste treatment and disposal services in the Eastern United States. Company is utilizing its strategically located permitted (for hazardous and residual wastes) facilities to focus on growing its customer base by providing innovative and cost-effective transportation and onsite services to the nation’s growing industrial base.

• Position Description:
• Perform all functions related to the transfer of loaded and empty intermodal containers.
• Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to high capacity forklifts, excavators, etc.
• Inspect intermodal containers in preparation for loading at customer site and transfer of loaded intermodal containers onto railcars.
• Prepare and manage documentation associated with the inspection, shipment, and tracking of intermodal containers.
• Manage subcontractors performing various functions in support of the intermodal facility including railroad and trucking suppliers.
• Working knowledge of general hand and power tools preferred.
• Perform light maintenance on intermodal containers, as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Standard labor hours are Monday – Friday with potential for overtime and weekend work.
• Candidate must be punctual, attentive, and maintain awareness of surroundings while working in all company environments.
• Follow all company policies and procedures including safety procedures.
• As instructed, wear the personal protective equipment as identified above.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications:
• 3 years prior experience in an industrial manufacturing facility setting.
• Ability to work with computer-based systems i.e. e-mail, spreadsheets, scanning documents.
• Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, respirator physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
• 40-hour Hazwoper, OSHA 10 or 30, and CPR/First Aid training strongly preferred, or Company will provide paid OSHA training to successful candidate(s).
• Travel:
• Home base location would be in Blacksburg, South Carolina and no travel required
• Compensation:
• Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

• Blacksburg, SC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
