A recognized advocacy organization in California is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Associate Director, Revenue Management. In this role, the Associate Director, Revenue Management will have direct responsibility over the recording, tracking, and reporting of revenues and overall gift management.

Responsibilities:

The Associate Director, Revenue Management will be responsible for:
  • Monthly revenue accounting close, including managing inbound donations, contributions reporting, and reconciliation between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge systems
  • Overseeing gift processing function and supervise the Senior Manager, Gift Processing
  • Restricted net asset accounting and preparing year-end balance projections
  • Accounts receivable, pledges receivable and invoice management; providing analysis and determine next steps for collection
  • Serving as Auditor contact for revenue, A/R, and restricted net assets
  • Collaborating with Development team and provide accounting guidance on crafting and evaluating donor proposals
  • Supporting the Development team with donor progress or financial reporting; ensure compliance with donor stipulations
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in non-profit revenue management
  • Providing management revenue reporting & analysis (i.e., Contribution Reporting, Weekly Flash)
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and implement efficiencies in revenue management
  • Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Nonprofit Accounting & Revenue Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Revenue Recognition and application of relevant Accounting standards to the organization
  • Experience in Revenue Accounting types and treatment (i.e., conditional vs. unconditional, with and without donor restrictions)
  • Experience with Donor Management software, CRMs
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge
