World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) seeks a talented and committed Associate Warehouse Manager to manage the daily and weekly activities of our Relief Operations Center (ROC) in Capitol Heights, Maryland and, while on disaster-relief activations, to assist the activation team with warehouse and managerial duties in the field. Part of a high performing and critical team, the successful candidate must possess a genuine desire to learn and grow, thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment, and embrace the opportunity to provide critical support to our relief efforts, both in the warehouse and while in the field.
This role will report to the Facilities Manager and, while on activations, to the Relief Activation Manager. This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the ability to travel immediately to relief activities world-wide up to 50% of the time, and the availability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role is intended to be a full-time exempt position based in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse associates to complete daily and weekly warehouse assignments
- Ensure teams are fully trained and adhere to site operations and safety guidelines
- Manage warehouse inventory and purchasing systems and operations
- Manage the prepping, shipping, and receiving of goods to and from activations
- Hire, train, and supervise warehouse employees
- Train and supervise contractors and volunteers
- Oversee and train independent contractors at ROC locations and on activations
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for operational efficiency and financial controls
- Prepare and review shipping documentation and direct movement of materials on and off activations
- Support regional and international activations, directly and remotely
- Deploy to act as warehouse manager during activations in the field
- Maintain required certifications such as ServSafe Food Safety, CPR, and Forklift Operator
- Complete financial reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of similar management experience in a similar environment
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding role in a similar environment
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with inventory management software and tools, Airtable bases, Asana project management, Google Programs and Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse tools and equipment including Forklift, Electric Jack, and Pallet Jack
- Familiar with relevant Federal safety protocols and regulations
- The ability to travel immediately and directly support emergency relief activities in person
- Proficient in English, spoken and written
- Valid passport
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experienced in driving box trucks and vehicles up to 25,000 lbs GVW with trailers hauling equipment
- Capable of occasionally lifting 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods of time
Preferred candidates will also be proficient in Spanish and be currently certified with warehouse equipment (Forklift, Electric Jack, and Pallet Jack).

Salary: $50,000 - 54,000/year
