Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm, M-F

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Team Lead will be responsible for:

• Recommendations on employee activities including hiring, monitoring productivity, training, and disciplinary action decisions.
• Review websites, seminars, and/or online training to stay current with all regulatory and insurance requirements for Third-Party Payers.
• Ensure timely, compliant submission of all claims, review denials, and ensure claims follow up meets department requirements.
• Implement new procedures as needed.
• Maintain updated training manuals and tip sheets in shared drive.
• Review audit requests from payers.
• Meet with payer representatives on a regular basis.
• Work with IT and ancillary departments to improve revenue cycle performance, compile reports and provide data as needed to resolve issues.
• Provide immediate direction and supervision of assigned personnel and activities where supervisory responsibility includes scheduling and/or assignment of personnel.
• Incumbent typically supervises up to 20 personnel.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of direct medical billing experience required.
• Supervisory experience – will be supervising up to 20 team members.
• Experience in a healthcare financial environment including knowledge medical terminology preferred experience using Excel and Word required.
• Third Party Billing experience with knowledge of EMR and familiarity with CPT/HCPCs/ICD9/APCs, modifiers.
• Familiarity with CMS compliance regulations, CCI edits, NCD's preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
