Location: Prefer NY Based (75% Metro NY / 25% Boston - DC)

Position Summary

The role of the Champagne Brand Ambassador is to:

  • Develop relationships with key independent accounts: on-premise (75% of time) & off-premise (25% of time) customers to:

    • Educate

    • Develop relationships with key influencers in key On and Off independent accounts

    • Drive distribution of Champagne portfolio

    • Improve visibility and merchandising of Champagne

    • Create value on Champagne through customized programming (ie: NYEve / Valentines / Limited editions...)

    • Raise the profile of the brand within the trade and consumer community

    • Generate incremental sales volume

  • Develop consumer reach platforms:

    • Recruiting new consumers to brands through event opportunities, Luxury partners, networking, education

    • Leveraging: Trade (Forteress accounts) and consumers (Key influencers)

Priorities

  • Champagnes (RARE CHAMPAGNE & Piper Heidsieck) distribution and volume objectives + various consumer and trade activation platforms .

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with sommeliers, wine buyers, account managers, account owners and chefs.

  • Educate the retail and wholesale trade to drive distribution, improve visibility and increase sales.

  • Oversee the execution of national consumer programs

  • Increase in-account portfolio visibility with merchandising materials and menu list placements

  • Work with key accounts to develop customized programs that drive consumer trial and sales volume

  • Execute educational outreach to local and national media, partner agencies and partner luxury brands

  • Develop luxury business to business relationships that result in incremental volume and HNWI recruitment

  • Use networking ability to target influencers and increase brand loyalty and consumption

  • Provide feedback concerning brand positioning, competitive activities and market trends

  • Provide input regarding future marketing plan development

Salary Range: 95-120k plus Bonus

Requirements

  • Professional image, positive attitude, diplomacy, high energy and charismatic personality
  • Sensitivity to luxury universe
  • Able to work independently
  • This role requires evening and weekend coverage on occasion – it is a full-time role with non-standard hours
  • Demonstrated public-speaking, presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to sell, influence and partner with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to manage budgets and provide timely, concise reporting
  • Excellent execution and time management skills; strong attention to detail with ability to take initiative, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • BA preferred
  • Extensive experience selling luxury wines, champagne & spirits preferred, but not required
  • Clean driving record and good credit history
  • Solid computer skills
