Overview:
Founded in 1976, Utility Specialists is a dry utility consulting firm with offices in Murrieta, San Diego and Mission Viejo. We are seeking an AutoCAD Drafter who is motivated, energetic and goal-oriented for our Murrieta office.

Responsibilities:
- AutoCAD preparation of dry utility designs, dry utility composite plans and other miscellaneous client required exhibits.
- Base file organization and maintenance, translation of red-lined designs into AutoCAD format complying with utility companies' standards.
- Prepare and transfer electronic files as needed in addition to interpreting various electronic files, and compiling and manipulating data to provide complete and thorough drawings.
- Under supervision, draft final drawings from redlined prints provided by supervisor.
- Maintain drawing and plan storage system for Design Operating Unit.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- AA degree or equivalent of two years in a technical school with certification in CAD drafting.
- Minimum of 1 year related experience with drafting.
- Skilled in AutoCAD (R14 and above) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Experience with electric, gas, and telecommunications utility companies' standards and requirements is a plus.
- Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to work as a team member and effectively interact with external clients, peers, supervisors, and utilities' representatives.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license issued from the state of residence.
- Must possess current DMV vehicle registration and automobile insurance as required by the company.
