Description:

A leading Pharmaceutical company is in immediate need of a CapEX Procurement Consultant to work with them for at least 12 months. The client will consider remote consultants who have the ability to travel as needed to their offices in Chicago (1-2 times per month).

This role will be critical to the client's success in support of an expansion project that will require a strong background in CapEx procurement. The consultant will be focused on equipment, construction, and engineering. He or she will meet with the Global and Site Procurement Representatives to understand roles and responsibilities within the team. The role will also be focused on the development and review of documentation like existing contracts, CDAs, Requests for Info, Procurement Planning docs, and Tracking Tables. Work will also be focused on the execution of Purchasing events, including preparation of documents like Instructions to Bidders, Price Sheets, and Draft Agreements related to the competitive selection process.

Top Requirements:

• BS degree minimum
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industries
• Strong expertise leading Procurement projects specifically for CAPEX projects
• Strong communication skills to be effective when coordinating with cross-functional teams

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• pharma and/or biotech industry: 5 years (Preferred)
• procurement projects specifically Capex projects: 5 years (Preferred)
• reviewing documents (CDAs, Request for Info, Planning docs): 5 years (Preferred)
• execution of purchasing events (draft agreement, ITB): 5 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
