ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic - Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.
Position Summary
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) coordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. As a CMA, you will assist with and provide patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
One of the 2 certifications are required:
- Certified medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered medical assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Preferred:
- One or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting
Other Information
- 36 hours a week
- Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday (8 am - 9 pm)
- Required to work weekends, as needed
