Breton Bay Golf & Country Club is seeking a Head Cook/Chef to run the Food &
Beverage Operation at the club. We are looking for an experienced chef/cook to manage and run our Food & Beverage operations. You will have the opportunity to coordinate and manage the work of your F&B team and produce the quality food and service that our members expect and deserve.
The Successful candidate will:
- Oversee the daily Food & Beverage operations include menu planning, ordering and control.
- Ensure Breton Bay standards and food quality and consistency.
- Adhere to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Have high expectations for food quality and presentation.
- Hire, trail and develop employees.
- Order and control food inventory.
- Manage and control food costs.
- Knowledge of Food Management/Software.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.
- Create and market weekly specials.
Responsibilities:
- Perform food preparation and production tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Adhere to food safety, food handling procedures.
- Hire, train and manage kitchen employees and restaurant staff.
- Provide top level customer service to our members and the public guests.
- Instruct, train and manage employees in all areas of food preparation and sanitation.
- Manage and control portions, waste and food costs.
- Work closely with the Breton Bay team to deliver excellent service.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must have experience managing a team.
- A passion for culinary arts with a desire for creativity.
- Prior experience with a golf course or club is a positive.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in food preparation in an institutional setting preferred.
- Ability to follow direction regarding food preparation, storage and safety.
- Knowledge and control of food costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, based on the needs of the club.
- This position requires standing, walking and bending throughout the work day and the ability to stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 20 to 50 pounds.
