The City of Cibolo seeks to hire a Capital Improvements Project (CIP) Manager to help manage all aspects of our CIP programs. The CIP Manager organizes, prioritizes, plans, delegates, and manages the City’s active CIP projects. This position is responsible for performing professional level work directing a broad range of project management, budget oversight, contract administration, and planning and architectural/engineering services in the development and implementation of the City's Five (5) Year Capital Improvement Program. Responsible for guiding the newly formed CIP Committee comprised of, but limited to, the City Manager, Public Works Director, Planning and Engineering Director, and Finance Director.

Our Type: The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of the City’s CIP Programs with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can provide leadership support to staff to ensure the efficient and consistent delivery of service to the public. The ideal candidate is innovative, motivated, organized, and a leader of the program. You are diligent and enhance all current projects-initiatives by being accountable for your actions. You are self-motivated and eager to assist in any strategic initiatives given by supervisor. When tense situations arise, you are not easily flustered, but are diplomatic and work hard to diffuse the situation and come to a solution. At the end of the day, you get great satisfaction out of making the asset management program successful and sustainable.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field, AND at lease (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in capital improvement project management work involving public works projects and facilities, including at least two (2) years of supervisory or team-leading experience. Plus, a Valid Texas Class C driver’s license and insurable driving record. Have or obtain Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) within a reasonable amount of time.

Compensation: Salary range is $88,238.40 - $132,357.60 (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits package which includes 100% fully paid employee health, vision, dental, and life insurance, generous retirement package, 12 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays, 10 days of vacation, and 12 days of sick time per year, and so much more!
