Brief Description of the Organization and Role:

Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is an integration of Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization into a single platform enabling Citi to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on Citi’s industry leading capabilities to support the goal of CGW, which is to be the leading wealth management provider globally. As we embark on this journey, it is imperative to have a strong Risk & Control framework, supporting this goal through an independent but integral Internal Control organization.

This role will support the development and implementation of the Citi Global Wealth Conduct Risk Management Conduct Risk Framework.

This role will ultimately report to the Head of CGW Business Risk & Controls in the role as Citi Global Wealth (CGW) Delegated Oversight and Execution (DOE) Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of Citi Global Wealth Conduct Risk management program.
  • Develop and implement processes for conduct risk identification, measurement, monitoring, controlling, and reporting.
  • Support the production of the quarterly state of conduct risk compliance and provide updates for the relevant governance forums including Personal Bank and Wealth Management and Citi Global Wealth Risk and Control Committees and relevant legal entity governance forums.
  • Attends as a delegate of the Citi Global Wealth Management Delegated Oversight and Execution (DOE) Officer relevant Conduct Risk Management forums.
  • Reviews Conduct Risk metrics and escalates matters that breach thresholds/limits to the DOE.
  • Monitors and provides the DOE with updates of the effectiveness of conduct risk management processes and controls
  • Supports the CGW DOE in meeting their responsibilities, as requested by the DOE.
  • Responds to conduct risk-specific regulatory inquiries in coordination with Conduct Risk Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM)
  • Development and production of key Conduct risk indicators and metrics to help Citi Global Wealth operate within its defined risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with Personal Banking Wealth Management (PBWM) colleagues to identify and adopt best practices for Conduct Risk.
  • Liaise within the organization to ensure connectivity with enterprise-wide conduct risk efforts to enhance Citi’s safety and soundness.
  • Development of strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactive engagement with control functions to ensure understanding of the CGW governance program.
  • Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience, of which 5+ years of Financial Services and analytical / control work experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills (a must) and the ability to translate complex concepts in a concise manner
  • Openness to challenge and continuously challenging the status quo
  • Demonstrated leader capable of driving change
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, highly matrix, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptive, and able to work well under high stress
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; extensive experience in area of focus; previous experience managing a diverse staff
  • Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) and certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred
